…A J-School Story
I was sitting in my bed reading Facebook when a post came up on my school group about a newspaper position… a Police Blotter Reporter.
Immediately I messaged the girl who posted because I needed money and clips. I had the job within a week.
My first day going to the precinct, although it was rainy, I was excited. I met Emily, the girl that posted on the Facebook page, and she introduced me to everyone at the precinct. The officers were very nice to me and were happy that I would be taking Emily’s place.
I’ve been having so much fun working for that paper. The officers are like family and my editor is amazing,
