So it’s really been a while since I’ve been able to blog like I wanted to. You can blame school and deadlines for that, but now that I have a small break I hope to get back into it. So here goes.
Here’s what the summer before my last semester is looking like and it’s far from relaxing.
I’ll be interning with Brooklyn Deep, an independent news organization based in the Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn. I’ll be doing education reporting and I’m really excited about this. For those of you who may not know, I love education and since I don’t want to be a teacher I might as well write about it.
I’m also in the process of writing a novel. I’ve already laid out the Table of Contents and I’ve started on the first chapter. I am so excited about this and I can’t wait to finish, but I know it’s going to be a long road ahead of me.
Lastly, I’m in the very beginning stages of a small business that I am creating. I won’t go into much detail because like I said it’s the beginning stages and things are still being worked out, but again I’m very excited and I hope to share more information at a later time.
My internship ends at the end of the month, on the 28th and I’ll most likely be sad to go, but I’ll be happy that I get to start to enjoy my summer.
I’ll still be working for CUNY, yes I work as a social media and marketing analyst for CUNY (so fun), but I will need a break.
Hopefully I’ll have three chapters of my book down. If it’s more then I’ll definitely be on track to finish by the end of 2018.
Also, I hope that my business will launch and be very successful.
And maybe I’ll move out of my mother’s house, but we’ll see.
My birth month, and I have decided after contemplating for a very long time, that I MUST turn up. Whether it’s with friends or solo, I need to be lit and that is what I will do. I’m looking into Miami 😉
Then I will return for my final semester of graduate school. I hope this semester will fly by because I am very ready to graduate and start on my life.
Stay tuned for a lot more blog posts from me in the upcoming days, weeks and months.
Thanks for listening.
